Southern Soil Environmental, Inc. (SSE) was founded in 1986 by Kenneth R. Jenkins, an Environmental Geologist, in response to the growing needs of oil and gas operators to comply with the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources more stringent guidelines for onsite storage, treatment and disposal of Exploration and Production (E&P) Waste (formerly Non-
Hazardous Oilfield Waste or NOW).
 

Originally, the focus of SSE was primarily on sampling, testing and analysis. We have grown to offer a full line of high-quality comprehensive oilfield related environmental services to our
clients throughout Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, and Mississippi.
